I know technically this should probably go in the Ras na mBan thread but it might get (and deserves) more exposure with its own thread? Ultimately a mod call.

I've had a sneak preview of the programme -insider trading, I know, I feel dirty. But it really is fantastic.

Features some of Boards.ie finest female cyclists.
Narration and commentary by the Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh of cycling, Boards very own international celebrity sports chin-wagger, Declan Quigley.
Priceless contributions of time, support and actual money(!) from many active boards members and lurkers.

I think everyone involved in this event should be very and justifiably proud of themselves. It's wholly volunteer-based with shoe-string budgeting and is a tremendous achievement. And anyway, incestuous congratulatory back-slapping aside, you'll see for yourselves, the racing is top notch. You don't realise it so much until you actually know the roads - the speed at which the ladies are motoring is something else.

So, watch this Sunday as Eurosport fulfills RTE's so-called public service broadcasting brief:rolleyes:. Eurosport HD Sunday 6.30pm, or with slightly fewer pixels at 5pm I think on Eurosport 2.

I walked through the background of an interview with Fiona Meade about five times on day two, so I fully expect to be able to shout "look ma, I'm on de telly!" at some point during this.

It's also on Monday night if you're not in front of a tv on Sunday. Looking forward to it!

Very enjoyable recap, well done Eurosport!
Watched it in HD, just shows the pain in the riders faces in more detail and from the looks of it there was truckloads of that and then some.
Was surprised to hear my native country's name mentioned, didn't know a Latvian was riding it (but for a Norwegian team).
