Wall Plate slitting TV & Sat

    Hi,

My house is wired with 2 coax cables to each tv point. I want to combine the quattro LNB Sat and Terrestrial in a multiswitch and then have a wall plate to split it into 2 x Sat, 1 x TV, 1 x Radio. I thought this would be straight forward enough but when looking at the wall plate "Click MM440" it says

"All diplexed, triplexed and quad modules require installation of a signal
combining distribution amplifier such as the Media Distribution Unit,
Not suitable for use in the Republic of Ireland"

    So a couple of questions
Is there a difference with the signals here and in the UK so that different hardware is required?
Do the multiswitch and Wall plates splitting the signal have to be the same brand?

Not any more: we used VHF band III for tv until analogue switch-off, a year ago. Now, all our tv & radio is in the same bands as the UK.

Any brand switch should work with any of these plates or modules.
