Would it be politically correct to suspect foreign nationals that like duck in the crispy form and wrapped in a pancake?
Probably not, they usually leave the head on.

    Galway swans now officially ducks.

I know is early, but I had to read your post three times.

Originally I made an (arguably) funny comment, but after reading the article, it is truly disgusting. It sounds like some one has a newly bought katana and wanted to try it out. Thats my best explanation. I really feel for the people who discovered the heads. I occasionally shoot the odd pheasent but a pond full of duck heads would creep me out.

Im Irish and I love crispy duck in pancakes.

    What are you inferring?

I'm saying someone has killed them to eat them, I'm also saying it could possibly be a Chinese person who has done it, the head thing has thrown a spanner in the works as it's just a easy to break the neck and leave the head on.

Not in this particular dish I saw. It's just the heads.

I changed my comment but breaking the neck is one thing, chopping the head off and leaving it in the pond is something else. I don't know what. Blaming the chinese seems too easy. I wouldn't be surprised if this was home grown.

Could be anybody from anywhere, I retract my original statement

I think you should read the article in the OP.
The heads were all that was left, not what taken. You managed to suggested probably the only duck dish that they couldn't make.

"The farmyard duck can't fly, so he is a sitting duck – literally."

Misleading 'headline', should read 'Duckless Heads'

What's the difference between a duck?

One of it's heads is both missing...

Mr Cribbin believes the ducks are being butchered for food since the ducks' heads are the only thing left behind at the scene.

He called the family-friendly duck-feeding shelter, that was dubbed 'Duckingham Palace', "a murder scene".

    :D

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
