Anyone take more risks driving alone than with passengers?
    Close calls occurred without occupants?
We better drivers when kept in silent check by a passenger ?

Yes arguing with people in the car never affects my concentration or screaming kids in the back

Yeah, the passengers on my bus get fierce uppity when I steer with my knees while I'm playing Candy Crush.

Depends on how much I like the passengers,. Also worth factoring in whether they are wealthy and likely to have me named in their will.

I certainly a lot more careful driving with a passenger.
I'm not boy racer but would definitely do things I wouldn't with a passenger.
Also I remember I was working 90 mins away for a few months and some days I'd be so tired and just want to get home. I was working in Wexford and driving on the motorway and occasional feel my head fall with with tiredness and then jump up. With a passenger to chat to that's unlikely to happen. Well depending on the company I guess :P

I'm not alone on this and must really cut it out, but texting and such on my phone are things I only do alone. You don't need to tell me how stupid it is to do, I'm aware.

    Jesus is always my passenger.

Always the back seat... more becoming, He says.

    screaming kids in the back

I thought I had come up with the perfect solution for that, but found the muffled moans from the boot just as irritating. Easier to just gag the fcukers.

Not really, as most of my passengers insist on playing russian roulette as we travvel. It's much easier to concentrate when I don't have that annoying "....click.....Yeah!..." coming from the back seats the whole time. As they do my go for me, I also find I sweat less when driving alone.

Your theory is blown out of the water by Taxi Drivers.

They have passengers all the time and still drive like a$$holes.

I drive slower when there are passengers are in the car. Not for their safety or anything, just so I don't have to hear them screaming 'You maniac! Slow down!' etc.

I can't say I do, to be honest.
If anything I might be a little more distracted and a little slower to react to some things....

I have to admit if I'm driving alone you're more likely to find me speeding, blasting the CD player as loud as it will go and sending the odd text.
On the other hand I got a handjob once while driving and near crashed the car. She went for oral first but I stopped her after I realised I couldnt get at the gears. Responsible.
