Hey all, so I'm new to all this, but managed to secure JA and will get my first payment next week. I was given the yellow temporary card - since they are switching to the new cards as you all know in a few - weeks. However, I'm just a little unsure, as I was a bit flustered as I tend to be in formal situations, as to how things for from here. I bring my card and passport to the office for first payment and then will it simply be the same every week and will they then provide information about when I would need to sign on? How often will this happen? Sorry for being a bit of an idiot, but it's not my world so I'm a bit at sea with it all.

As you said just bring the card and passport with you to the post office, and your payment should be there each week. You probably wont need the passport after your first visit.

Signing on is usually every 4 weeks, and you usually get 'your next signing day' printed on the end of your post office receipt. You may be notified by text to if they provide that service.

Every time you sign on make a note of your next signing day as its displayed on the hatch window, if they still do this.
