    This is it before.

After looks the same only with polish on it. Using Meg's metal polish.
Is the metal just fecked or am I doing it wrong. Didn't want to use something something abrasive

Hard to say, but on the left hand side of the triangle, the lower left corner looks to be flaking, or is it my eyes playing tricks and in fact its carbon build up?

What are you using the metal polish with? A MF or wire wool?
Wire wool fine grade (0000), should at least improve the appearane, even if the finish is a bit fecked!

Was using a cloth. Didn't wanna go near wire wool to start with!

Its very tricky to get at as well, not like a regular tip. Will try the wool and see how it goes.

If the exhaust is stainless steel you don't want to use #0000 steel wool or tiny amounts will bond with the exhaust and rust in spots. If that's the case you might want to try #0000 bronze or brass wool.

    It's just heavily Oxidized

Superfine sandpaper/sponge rectabgles are what i use to remove that then tons of Autosol and a good buffing.

Once the Oxidization is gone its happy days and no more dull tips

Finally got around to sorting this today. Didn't see the comments about sandpaper till now but that's exactly what I used followed by a polish.

    Thanks for the help!
