Seems like they have to be online quite at lot and that there's a lot of them. With all this work, what's in it for them

Infamy and social status amongst the Irish online community. And a character reference from Dav if you appear before the courts. Like those two lads who were before the judge yesterday in relation to hacking the FG website. Their work as boards.ie moderators really helped them avoid a prison sentence.

They make babies cry on the internet, there is a HUGE market in East Asia for baby tears and this is how they make their money and go on to become billionaire playboys/girls. There are mod chapters all over the world where they share their connections in the baby tear market but you need to know the secret handshake to get in:(

I'd wager that they don't have to pay for anything at a boards beers.

As a mod previously, you can get paid by Paypal or Bank Transfer.

Payment for me was based on the traffic directed towards the forum and my 'online' time. It usually came to around €100 per week. However during the really busy winter period i could get up to €400 p/w.

Not worth it though so i quit.

    warnings are €1
    infractions are €5
    Forum bans are €10
if the person is then given a site ban you get an extra €10

However most of that money is used for either rehab or STI treatments after ya know all the coke and hookers. The kicker is boards actually runs these places too so its a vicious circle

I do it for the betterment of Boards.ie, and in turn, all of humanity. Material wealth does not drive me.

I wouldn't get out of bed for less than 100 silly questions per day!

Yeah, but it's a bit of a bitch having to drive in the Boards HQ for clocking in and out.

Us Hmods get higher wages though, so it kinda makes up for it.

I'd wager if you tried to buy them a beer they'd hand you a yellow card for backseat pint buying.

If you bought them a cheap beer or as was recently discussed a budweiser,I'm sure they would.

I reckon it would be more like the FF tent at the Galway Races, whereby Wibbs(for example) would talk to you about an outstanding red card infraction, and he can make it go away,"lets chat over a Johnny Walker Blue".
They seem like a very seedy group.

We get paid into our bank account on the last working day of every month like everybody else. Gross wages €45k and free unlimited hookers, coke (and beer) at every mods beers. Don't tell anybody about this because most of us do not declare the BIK on this...

As a former mod of two forums, I still enjoy my pension of one hooker a week. Although due to cut backs, the coke has now been replaced with a bottle of Cavan Cola.
