Just wondering if anyone done one as a task for the stap scheme this year?
Done it myself as never done anything like this before .
Only do the accounts for tax purposes.
Often looked at the teagasc better farm figures and wondered where I would come on the league table ie top one third ,middle or bottom one third.
Just got them back in the post tonight and they make interesting reading!.

    Hi Paddy,

I didn't chose that option, but like yourself, I always wondered about it... (Altho I would be fairly sure where I'd come, and it wouldnt be good) :(

Was it a worthwhile exercise do you think? Were you surprised at some of the 'results' / analysis?

    Well found it interesting !.
Just looking at it here now and will post the "relevant bits".
Remember reading on here a while ago about people not disclosing certain parts of their profit monitor as it would indicate something or other.Cant remember for the life of me what so will post up a few bits and see what people think.

Stocking rate is low at 1.64 lu per hectare.
Lambs reared ewe put to the ram is also low at 1.39 but thats due to a lot of ewe lambs put to the ram in 2012.Mature ewes scanned 1.7(around that from memory).

Gross margin per hectare was 813 euro(must look to see where this falls on the scale).

Net profit per ewe (excluding premia)was 69 euro.(as above)

How is running costs interpreted, like diesel, tractor/machinery repairs, and then you shed repayments, renting land?

if you had a run down on the heading lists it would be interesting

hi paddysdream, you wouldn't have a softcopy of that in excel? wouldn't mind trying it out, not in the STAP scheme.
