I recently learned to drive and bought a 5,000€ car.
I grew up reluctant to drive because of nervousness and financial reasons.
But since I thought a car would be a great help I took the plunge. But the novelty of having a car has gone plus my feeling of needing it, and I am regretting buying the car. I've had it a couple of weeks.
The car has nothing wrong. Nct'd just two weeks ago.

Do you think i can expect to get the same amount that i paid if I sell it?

Depends - did you pay too much for it?

    Hard to tell.

What car was it, how many miles an what condition?

That will help people give it a realistic value for you.

maybe you would be happier if you sold it, and bought a cheaper car (say €1000) and got most of your money back but still had a car.

give us the details of the car and we can tell you what price to expect for it. make and model, year, engine, mileage :)

To be honest if i was buying a car and found out the owner only has it for a couple of weeks alarm bells would be ringing

While it can be suspicious, people do sometimes simply change their minds on things. Tbh I see nothing to worry about as long as the sellers story stacks up and is credible.

True. I bought a BMW R1200GS and couldn't wait to get rid of it after less than 100 miles on it. One lives, one learns. ...

If OP bought it from a dealer, isn't there a "cooling off" period, where you can simply return it for a refund.?

It is a good bike dynamically, but a few things irked. After many years on KRS/KLT and RRT it wasn't as good for the use I wanted: weather protection (winter riding) and riding position.

Other things though: impossible to keep clean (you need to see where I live...), and the quality of paintwork on exposed subframe and things like rusting brake disc mounting bolts etc on a bike so new (6 mths old), didn't auger well. On my RT's I used to buy the KLT mudguard extender etc.

Lovely engine etc, but just not for me - went back to RT's, and eventually away from BeeEmms altogether. The loss of the old 'brick' engine and the increased maintenance on the twins just annoyed me.

RT's very cheap these days..........still fancy going 'back' to one every time I see one.

Didn't lose a cent on the GS though - my arm was taken off for it at the time.

Only if you can cancel the cheque in time !

Cooling off periods typically refer to online purchases and financial products.
