By any chance does anybody know of somewhere that rents out a decent underwater housing for a 5D mkII in Ireland?

They're 1.5k on ebay and I don't know if I'd use it often enough to justify that kind of expense.

Nothing too deep. Underwater shoots, fashion shots etc.

I may have found a more reasonably priced solution on B&H for about €500 which I could probably justify. Still if anybody has any suggestions for renting I'm all ears.

I've never heard of renting but I was looking at prices for housing awhile back and got €700 - €800 for something pretty basic. Not a lot of companies make these so they are quite expensive.

A company called liquid eye housing

Friend of mine regularly used his 5DII in a casing that cost him about €130. Never had any problems. He was limited in the lens he could use. Think it was only his 50 1.4.

I've seen a few of those cheaper options. They're probably fine for a lot of uses but knowing my luck Id get the one that leaked.

Very careful with this stuff , it's one area you don't want to skimp on !!!

If it's made in China - DON'T USE IT .

I can't imagine the expensive cases for €1000 + are made in China ...
