The Church, Religions and all that mullarkey

Not trying to offend but it seems to me like religions have morphed over the centuries into some kind of ethical doctrine to run countries by.

Do we really believe the stories in the bible?

Has the Catholic church lost all relevancy in this country? Has it lost it's power. Why on earth are schools still teaching and forcing communion and confirmation on it's pupils if so.

Is Islam used as a stick to beat non fundamentalists with.

Has religion caused more harm than good or would this world be a bigger mess without it.

    Discuss?!
