Starting up a two piece at the minute and the set is nearly there,I've heard VERY mixed reports about what people are getting paid for a two or two and a half hour set around dublin or surrounding borders..anyone here actually doing it or know someone who is? Interest in hearing what people are getting solo and in full bands also but mainly for a two piece..two guitars two vocals p.a. supplied.
    Thanks

Can't pass accurate comment on Dublin and thereabouts. But in the north west the average established 2 piece is picking up about 200 or less. You'll get more if you are going down well with the punters. There's also a vague 80 wage per head for a band to to a max of 350. But more like 300.

Get out there, be good, be very good, and you'll be able to press the venue for the best money providing pints are selling. But pubs always have a max they can pay and you gotta be pulling on the punters to get it.

Good man Micko. You are doing the hard work at the moment. Keep your eye on the prize. Keep on investing in better gear when you can, and you'll start picking up weddings and corporate/business/parties and the like.
