Sports goggles for boxing

I have an eye condition where getting punched directly in the eye would be pretty bad for me (weakened cornea). My Opthamologist says I can continue to box, but that using headgear and/or sports goggles to protect my eyes would be advisable.

I went into Specsavers, and they do prescription Sports goggles which seemed like they would work out well.
Im slightly concerned that if I get punched directly on the goggles it would cut into my skin - but thats better than getting hit in the eye, so its a trade off I guess

There are also companies like http://www.sporteyes.com/ that do exactly what I am looking for - Sports goggles, including for Boxing, so I@ve sent them an email to see what they recommend

Anybody have any ideas/tips on this area?

    Thanks

only tip I would give is get a second opinion. Unless your tipped to be a world champ anytime soon is your eye really worth it?

If you really want to go ahead and box there are some headgears that come with a visors attached, I have seen them at some martial arts events, don't know if they are any use.
