Who needs a trip? Ryanair and Aer Lingus fly there and they have websites.
Good spot for a New Year, loads of people about, but not the cheapest time to go. Hotel prices on 30/12-1/1 will be 3 times what they will be by the second week of January..

I'm going to Amsterdam for new years and found the hotels were crazy prices, I booked an apartment through air b & b instead, you can read reviews of the place you're renting and its way cheaper than any hotel I could find, might be worth looking into!

Thanks, Amsterdam would also be an option!

I'd say start looking into accommodation in a few cities and see where you end up, book sooner rather than later would be my advice though :)

At the New Year, there are places people "go" for the New year, this inevitably increases hotel prices. There are also places where the local people party, but people do not "go" for the New Year, in such places business class hotels can cut their prices and offer a nice place at a moderate (but not rock bottom) price. You can't really have it both ways. FLights can also be busy on some routes, which may negate any hotel saving.
