Teaching English and Geography at second level

    ADVICE NEEDED
Hi, I am currently in my second year studying English and Geography, 30 credits each. I have recently selected my modules and am a little worried about the vagueness of the Teaching Council's specific requirements to teach at second level. My course is definitely recognised by the teaching council. I also studied History and Politics in first year 15 credits each.

For English, I have read that you need to study three out of four areas: poetry, drama, fiction and new media or film. With this in mind the modules that I have chosen include: Irish literature in the 17th and 18th Century, American Cinema up to 1960, modern drama, American historical fiction and Shakespeare. Do these choices check out?

For Geography, it simply says that you need to have studied physical and human geography so I have picked Environmental sustainability, Bio-geography and the Atmospheric Environment, our core modules also include a field module, geographical data analysis and Geographical research methods.

Any advice appreciated because I am beginning to freak out!:)
    Thank you.
