Paddle strop restoration & modification.

    Hi.
    I found that old “sprung’ paddle strop and i thought that it’s worth saving. Leather was in pretty bad condition so i replaced it with balsa wood. I pasted it with chromium oxide and white Thiers Issard paste o both sides. I’ve finished the handle with natural wax. I even made a cover for it :)

    Were you tempted to get some leather an use that instead of the balsa?
