Cycling jackets and tops tend to be longer at the back than running gear, as you are bent forward cycling. If you use running gear, you might find yourself exposed at the base of your back, though if it is a slightly large fit it may work.

Never thought of that. Anyone buy these products before, just wondering how breathable they actually are?

my local aldi still has cycling gear. much debated here but lots of people happy enough . its not bad gear for the money. There may still be stuff to be had in the dublin aldis ?

If the sizing works for you then these are very decent jackets for the money, with a layer or two underneath you'll be warm and they are much more waterproof than the equivalent Aldi/Lidl jackets that I have here too.

Aldi in Sandyford still has loads of cycling gear, you should find what you need there. I got a decent jacket there and it keeps me warm when cycling to work.

Mountain Warehouse in Blanch often has cheap cycling gear also.

I went to Aldi that morning the cycling gear came in about 10 O'Clock and there was at least a dozen cyclists in, all the mens sizes were gone apart from 1 medium. I have to say that some of the cyclists in shopping were quite ruthless and rude the way they went about the specials that morning. 1 guy actually elbowed his way in between 2 others and digging for something, thus wrecking the display and making it harder for anyone else to find what they were looking for.

I think in future I'll stay away from these Lidl and Aldi specials.

I did pick up the toolkit (seems decent, haven't tested the strength and resistance of the tools yet. The front lamp and rear blinker (it is what it is), the water bottle and cage (poor quality but very cheap) GT 85 and a pair of socks. All for less than €45 which ain't bad I suppose.
