Tough challenge for the Gunners today, if they win they set a new club record 9 straight away league wins. However they face the stiff challenge of a West Brom team buoyed with confidence after their 2-1 win in Old Trafford last week. Looks a tough game for both teams. last game between the two sides was only over a week ago, which Arsenal won on a penalty shoot out, no penalty shoot outs today however and three valuable league points to put them back on top of the table. Prediction: 1-2

    Probable teams:
West Brom (4-3-3): Myhill (GK); Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Yacob, Mulumbu; Berahino, Sessegnon, Amalfitano; Anichebe
ARSENAL (4-2-3-1): Szczesny; Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs; Arteta (cap.), Flamini; Rasmey, Ozil, Gnabry; Giroud.

Sess will score. Certain of that. 3-1 to the gunners. Man U were pretty awful playing against w. Brom. Not a great yardstick tbh.

Arsenal match day threads need some BA-ZING!:D

WBA are looking light on strikers and with Arsenal playing Arteta and Flamini WBA will be coming up against a solid midfield and back 4. Cant' see them breaking Arsenal down

Ozil to work a bit of magic for 2-0 away victory

Do you think gnarby will be in ahead of jack?

I'd keep the same side that murdered napoli.

    1-3. Prefer 0-2 but we'll see

I think Jack will start today ahead of Gnarby unless Wenger takes action over the smoking thing.
I would prefer to see Gnarby in as I was wrong about him needing to be a bit part player until he got experience. He impressed me with his strength the last day.
Maybe Wenger will start birthday boy Rosicky today ahead of them both.

    I think we'll win 1---2.

Yes we always seem to get an an injury scare on the day of the game and today its Mert. Hope he makes it. With Sagna already out we're looking pretty short at the back

    What's happened to Mert?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

    What's happened to Mert?

he's in the "red zone" physically, whatever that means.

Kos and Verm at the back.

Time to get the form back Verminator. Skyrtel has done it for liverpool.

Good man :), just finished training myself now to sit down enjoy the game before heading to work at 7.

Think this will be a tough game but one we should win, hopefully our lack of wingers wont effect us.

Arsenal look to be suffering a bit from a midweek hangover.

    Wasteful from Gibbs.

Gibbs should have squared it, what a pass from Ozil though.

Slow start alright. Still, in control, starting to make the odd half chance.

I don't like when people are making all these statements about the team looking tired or players not having a good game after less than 20 mins. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time to settle into a game regardless of the circumstances, at least leave it till half time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,013 ✭✭✭aramush

Ozil just ooze's class! Such a signing for Arsenal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

If brom keep giving up this space it'll go badly for them

Not good don't like seeing Flamini on a yellow so early in the game.

Oh it's a not a complaint against the team. Guardiola used to refer to it as the UEFA virus when it happened his Barca. Games in Europe always tended to be different to the local domestic clashes and adjusting back takes a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Bit more snap in the passes now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Anyone else want to grab them drums and shove them up your mans hole?

    It's like fecking Jumanji.

Yeah I understand it wasn't a comment on you specifically or anything, just a trend I've noticed a lot, and not just on here but among friends.

Jack is lost on the wing, not his fault obviously.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,058 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Did someone swap Jack? He keeps losing the ball. Very much off the pace. He is better than this.

Same old arsenal always cheating, god opposing fans love that one, it does roll off the tongue though.

Seesegnon might have done some damage there if he hadn't decided to go down.

Kolarov got a penalty for the very same thing yesterday, could easilt have been given. Although it seemed outside

Flamini on thin ice. Perhaps he'll be subbed at HT.
