Salinas started well, but maybe Quigg coming into it slightly better now.

    Dull dull affair.

Majority draw. 114-114; 115-113; 114-114. Bloody announcer didn't say which fighter got the 115 score.

Quigg really took too long to get going. If he started earlier he could have made sure. Can't really complain.

saw that, what the hell was he at??

How is Quigg "world champ" after a draw?

That announcer needs a slap. All night to get it right yet he announces Joshua as the gold medallist at HW in the Olympics....

Impressive. He's going all the way. That's what Jim Watt said before a single punch was thrown.

Carl Froch said the very same. Nice to see hes towing the company line now.

I seem to recall he once despised fighters getting pushed (Amir Khan being an example) without proving much

an entertaining enough night it must be said.

Quigg started far too slowly in that fight. I actually ha him winning by 1, but i could have easily given the Cuban lad the first 6 rounds. Quigg didnt land a thing until the 7th.

in my opinion Quigg was flustered and confused by the Cuban lads jab in the first half of the fight. And i put that down to his lack of experience.

He's a good fighter, and a genuinly nice lad, but i havent seen one thing in any of his fights that makes me think he could beat Carl Frampton.

Quiggs' biggest asset is his fitness. And Frampton is a little gym rat as well. I think Frampton would make light work of Quigg to be honest.

Mitchell looked decent as well, granted he was fighting a guy that looks like he plucked from the local Burrito bar in Leicester Square, but it was entertaining none the less.

Quiggs biggest weakness is his slow and static feet. It's like he's stuck in cement. Last night he was far toop cautious and lazy. Frampton I feel would be too rounded for Quigg.

Anybody know if the bookies are paying out for a quigg win?

Pretty unlikely. Unless they're feeling generous. It's officially a draw in both boxing and bookie results.

im going to be a wee bit crude with my opinion on Quigg here. But he's a poor mans Ricky Hatton. Its like he's a manufactured Ricky Hatton even. If you know what i mean.

I cant see anyway how he could beat Frampton. Frampton is a little tank, and has something very few fellas have in that weight class, and thats legitmate one punch knockout power. He puts guys to sleep, You cant make the kind f power he has, you either have it, or you dont.

I was listening Spencer Fearon on a sky podcast the other week and he was saying how Barry McQuigan brought Frampton over to spar the mongolian fella Choi about 3 years ago. He was saying even then he was excellent, but then he was saying he came over to spar with Choi again recently enough and they had to ask Frampton to take it easy. He was raving about Framptons power and spiteful edge as well.

I think he'd require much much better footspeed and better hand speed to even be a poor man's Hatton.
