Thought I'd share this here. Been on the lookout for a pair of headphones for my Dad, who has been deafening anyone in range while listening to his music (loud) on a pair of open back headphones, and these look ideal.

Cheaper than Amazon once shipping, exchange and Parcel Motel is factored in (coming from a marketplace seller, rather than Amazon), and Blocbuy are an Irish business too, so double win!

    You reckon?
Cheaper than the next cheapest price on the web and nearly half the RRP seems like a bargain to me.

Just realised I never put actual price info in the OP. Is that what you mean?

On sale for €59.99, down from €99 on BlocBuy. Reviewed by What HiFi at $130 last year.

It's £49.95 direct from Amazon, which is cheaper, and has been for months. Just because it has recently gone out of stock direct from Amazon temporarily doesn't mean we should start considering prices that are a bit higher from less reputable sources as bargain alerts. If and when it comes back in stock with Amazon it won't be considered a bargain so neither should this.

I'm not knocking the bargain, just a heads up to say, if you look at Europe, you can get these with a case and some interchangeable leads with different sized jacks delivered for €57 (Possibly cheaper).
I didn't look at the other sets that were around the same price, maybe they all come with a case and cables, some had nicer cases...

And, as you said, Blocbuy are Irish.

Would you not be better with a pair of sennheiser Hd201? Closed, cheap, reliable and good sound.

Regardless of the price these are an amazing pair of headphones, paid full whack for mine at Christmas.

sorry for OT, but HD201 are good phones but really hard to drive with your portable gear, unless you have powerful DAP (hifiman, FiiO X3, DX50 etc) or headphone amp. Once properly amped they are good phones for the price, although there are better options for the price IMO.

Straight from iPod or Sansa they sound crap.
