Tax consultant suggestions/recommendations

I need to engage someone to help me with my tax return: I'm a PAYE worker but file a tax return (i.e. not the usual PAYE return) mainly due to company shares I receive as part of my compensation. I think I may have actually overpaid tax on these but also need to ensure all the notification certificates of share sales are in-check.

I've also got some education costs I need advice on as to their potential applicability for tax deductions.

Do tax consultants usually charge a fixed fee for this sort of work/advice?

I've searched around a bit and not found many current recommendations which was a surprise as usually boards.ie is full of advice on recommendations. Obviously, a recommendation is taken in good faith only and it's not the recommender's responsibility so thanks in advance for any suggestions!

you could try the request a quote thread in the accountancy section. I don't think you need a tax consultant as such (you will probably find they charge a lot more) A regular accountant should be able to deal with this
