    Hi all,
Cancelled Sky not long ago, thinking about going back if the price is right.
Anyone know if there are any 'come back to Sky' offers floating about?

    thanks.

Hold out for a month or two if you can.
I cancelled and after I think 6 or 7 weeks I recieved a come back to us offer. 9 months for half price so I upgraded and got a 2tb sky hD box with sports ,movies and HD for €44.50 a month

5 days after my sub expired in August they phoned me and offered half price entertainment pack with sports for 12 months with no contract other than the standard 30 days notice. They also applied €50 credit to my account.

A couple of weeks later I got a letter from them offering half price for 9 months

The offers appear to change from month to month but Id be fairly sure that a lot of the offers are based on loyalty........basically how long you have been with Sky and how much you have paid them in subs over the years.

I cancelled Sky two months ago (after been with them for 10 years) and I have not heard a dicky bird from them since.

Dont mind actually. I have gotten used to not having it.

How long after you cancelled did you have to wait for their call?

Have had them for TV since 2005 but at the minute, I'm not in a contract with them. Thinking of ringing and doing the whole.. I'd like to cancel thing to try and get a better offer.

I just rang up, I got free TV for the next two months, equilelant of a €70 discount and then 20% off until July of next year! Delighted with that as we had absolutely no intention of leaving :P

i was offered 12 months half price & HD for €5 a month around the time i was due to be/was cut off, wanted to think about it & told them to call back the next day

they didn't however, but around a month later they rang offering 6 months free (no contract), had to take it :D

couldn't get nothing off HD though & was told taking it too would mean a 12 month contract so i haven't got that, i might ring and see will they do anything

Was on yesterday, had a discounted multi room sub (main + 2 other rooms) bill went up to e65.00 from e50.00, was offered the same deal the e50 p/m would last for 9months, I pushed on and cancelled, wife is not too pleased but I'm prepared to play the waiting game, I've an Octo LNB already with two free sat boxes in situ and working so wont miss to much, hoping ii might get a deal direct from sky or I might approach a local rep and get wife to sign up

As much as Sky can be quite expensive, I'd be lost without it. Had it since '05.
Let us know how you get on will ye?
Be interesting to see what offer they give ye.

I'm not a Sky customer, but had rang them a week or two ago registering my interest in tv/bb, but I didn't buy anything. They rang me back tonight offering me half price tv for a year, 27e reduced to 13e saying its only available tonight and tomorrow? Is this a good deal that I should snap up? I was thinking this is unusual because I'm not an ex-customer?

Go for it. If you decide to upgrade, do it via the website & you will get whatever you go for at half price as well.

I cancelled an 85e sub in last few days, hoping for some sort of offer.. It doesn't happen straight away it seems, you have to wait till your billing cycle ends after the 31 days notice??

A lot of the time they'll offer you something when canceling, though it mightn't be the best offer

They do seem to ring back around the time of cut off yeah - that happened with me & others

But as well some people hear nothing, getting called back is a bit like their offers, inconsistent.
Half price is one they push a lot though

I cancelled mine. At the time of cancellation they didn't offer anything worthwhile. They never rang me back. The day before I was due to get cut off I rang them and asked if they would offer me anything to stay on. They gave me half price for 9 months.

Finally settled for half price for 9 months so I'll be paying 39.50pm until next august for the top pack. Very happy with that.
