PS3 Super Slim any good?

Is the PS3 Super Slim any good, any issues with this console? Reason why I asked this is that I'm seeing quite a lot of them been sold on adverts, donedeal, etc... and they're not that old either, some as much as a week old.

I got one last Christmas and it froze repeatedly while playing GTA V, eventually it stopped reading discs completely. Sony took it back via courier last week.

I've heard it's a common problem while playing gta

Read a few stories about that, also came across a lot of people saying it's louder, slower and gets quite hot. Really don't know what to make of it, I was looking at buying one but I may just go get the Slim model instead, the amount of week old to one month old Super Slims going up for sale is a little alarming if I'm honest.

I got mine back from Sony today, not bad considering the courier only took it Monday. Hopefully it let's me play gta properly now

Been using my Super Slim constantly since replacing my dead launch model last November. No issues playing any games, including Grand Theft Auto V

What's it like noise level and heat wise?

No issues regarding heat even after long sessions or overnight downloading. As for noise, sometimes you can hear the disc spinning when you start a game because the disc is not as encased as it was in the launch model, but not really intrusive at all while playing
