Wasn't Dan Martin pimping him on twitter after the worlds? Didn't sound like he had anything lined up then

With that squad he's eligible for the Ras right? It'd be pretty cool for the Irish champions jersey to be in the field and it might also fit in with his ambition to win a stage race.

Does he have problems getting picked up by teams? I would have thought that after his stint with HTC he'd be doing better? Philip Deignan seems to have fared better despite repeated illnesses?

By his own admission his best role is as a domestique at World Tour level so when he is riding well it is not as noticeable.
He has been unlucky, he was a domestique at OPQS and when they let him go the World Tour teams who were recruiting would have been looking for points since that year there was massive competition for places on the WT roster, he wouldn't have had many points having ridden in service to others so couldn't get on the WT.
He then got a good job at Champion Systems and when they folded unexpectedly, another 4 or 5 teams folded so the market is flooded with unemployed riders.
