Very sorry to read this. I was knocked off yesterday. First time in maybe 20 years. Totally down to inattention of a driver who looked, but did not see me, in a world of her own. I am very shook by this, as I was milliseconds from being more seriously injured or killed. And this narrow-margin was completely beyond my control. Random.
I read the piece about Amy's death in Cycling News. She was hit by a truck while training, but her moto-pacer's life was spared by a narrow margin. The randomness of this is disturbing, and brings us (me) face to face with mortality. Normal to 'bang', your life has changed, or ended.
I hope she rests in peace, and her family and friends also find peace.

Sorry to hear that, hope you're ok. It is easy to forget how vulnerable we are. I sometimes wonder about the probability of something happening over a lifetime spent cycling - not sure i'd like to see the numbers on it!

    RIP Amy Dombroski.
