Looking to buy a drill driver as the battery is dead on my Bosch.

Would rather buy a corded model but can only find them in 110v.

Money is tight too so don't want a pro machine.

    Any suggestions?

Thought of just replacing the battery?

    What's your budget?

Replacing batteries is ongoing expense and very ungreen I think . My corded drill is 20 years old and costs little to run and I can put up with trailing cords.

On balance I believe corded is better where AC power is available.

    Budget is sub e100.

This is the best value I can come across, (unless you want it from a bricks & mortar shop). You can use your 20 yr old drill for drilling anything heavy while using this as a screwgun:

Thanks Sean. The reviews are mostly positive but one person got electrocuted:eek:

    Will order one anyway.

Skil were always very good tools so I'd say the guy that got 'electrocuted' and lived to tell the tale may not be the expert he thought he was! :D

Good luck with it and let us know what you think after using it!

Due to the good weather only used this for the first time yesterday.

First impressions are positive for use as a screwdriver. Extra long cable is useful as is the reverse button which can be operated with the same hand as is holding the drill unlike my old Bosch.
Best thing though is the constant full power.
Early days yet but should be good value for the money.
