Help me get to Tampere, Finland

    Hi all,

    I need to get to Tampere Finland anytime on Oct 23rd for a meeting at 11am on the 24th. I tried Skyscanner and Ryanair as well as combinations of airlines I can think of myself and it's coming up that I have to do 3 or 4 flights to get there taking up to 21 hours :eek:

    Anyone here with a special talent for spotting practical ways to get to out of the way destinations I'd REALLY appreciate your help!!

    I can basically leave Dublin at any time on the 23rd so long as I get into Tampere in time to check into a hotel that evening.

    It is 2 hours by bus from Helsinki ariport, you could easily travel to Helsinki with decent connections via AMS or CPH. Overnight at at an airport hotel and go on the morning of the meeting, if you wished or go all the way to Tampere the previous day.

    Thanks Ardmacha,

    I subsequently found a god solution with SAS. Dublin -> Stockholm -> Tampere. Depart Dublin around lunchtime and just over 6 hours to landing in Tampere.

    Very good result!!

    Fly to Helsinki and get a train, to Tallinn and get a sea cat to Helsinki, a tram to train station for train to Tampere, or a flight to Stockholm and either a connecting flight to Tampere or Helsinki, an overnight ferry to Turku and a train to Tampere.

    EDIT: Oh, you managed it ... I should stop posting so late!
