DCC shared ownership scam

Just thought i'd get a few opinions on this as a friend is currently fighting an eviction battle with them.

As far as i can see they have a serious hard-on to get any shared ownership house back thats in default. I spent the last court day with him to take notes as the stress has him at wits end and the amount of DCC cases was off the scale.

Back story - he's a small business owner who's business partner did a runner, causing a serious financial loss to him that resulted in depression, drinking and the loss of his long term relationship. Nnow after 2 years of hard work he is finally in a position where he can start paying off his mortgage properly again.

He has offered a reduced payment as per judges advice (reduced by 100 a month for a year to be added on at the other end). DCC are ignoring this and wont even furnish him with a letter saying so that he may present to the courts, stating that for that to happen he needs to get a court order.

He has offered to walk away from the house. dcc want an extra 55,000 off him.

He has offered to sell the house and pay dcc their share aswell as any outstanding balance. dcc refused the offer.

He has offered to hand over his share of the house and just rent from dcc. dcc refused his offer.

As DCC are the lender (or an agent for the lender) they are covered by the 2010 amendment to the central bank's business and ethical code for lenders. This clearly states that the lender must make EVERY attempt to help the homeowner keep their home if repayments are being offered. In my eyes they are making zero attempt at all, just rubbing their greedy little paws together at the thoughts of getting a house with a few quid thrown on top for good measure, while side stepping a judges words by tying everything up in legal red tape.

Wasnt the shared ownership scheme meant to help people get out of the state housing sytem, not put them back into it?
