What's on in the City? - October 2013

    Much like the previous What's on in the City? thread, the same principles apply.

    Here you can notify others of things; events, happenings, concerts, good restaurants, table quizzes, fundraisers, classes, for the month and following months. Any events pertaining to later months will be carried over until the event is over.

    A few rules, however;
    You have to have 200 posts or more to post, or >1 years on boards.
    Tell us a little about the event - posting a flyer will not do and will count as spam.
    Once an event has been posted in this thread don't repost it - no bumping or reminding of events either.
    Old events, too much chat, spam or topics that don't belong will be (re)moved.

    Access Music Project presents live music from Giro: Galway International Retro Orchestra in the Townhouse Bar, Galway city on Thursday 24th October. Admission is five Euro and the gig starts at 9 pm. Giro's music is a mixture of Irish traditional music, Klezmer and Romanian tunes with a slant from the 1930s vaudeville style of the Flanagan Brothers, roaring 1930s music that was played by migrants in New York, Giro making the connection between traditional music and other types from the same era.
