Missing People

Today I was waiting for my bus in Dublin and I was thinking of the missing people in this weeks news, and I thought the chances of me spotting one of them is slim to none, but as I stood there I tried to picture the two peoples faces who are currently missing Chloe Kinsella and Gerry McCann (At the time I didn't know about Gerry McCann been found). I honestly think they could have past me a few times and I wouldn't have known.

I think it was due to the fact I was not going from A to B and was just waiting on the bus, had I have not been waiting, I don't think I would have thought about them until I got home and checked Facebook or boards or RTE etc but at that stage I could have passed them without knowing.

Have these missing people been in the back of your mind lately?

Is it just me or a sad reflection on our society, considering how small Ireland is ?

Unfortunately people have always gone missing - for various reasons. I don't think this is a reflection of society, although sometimes it may be a symptom of something societal.
Some people's disappearances are more high-profile than others, due to what resources are available for an awareness campaign.

In this day and age, a good thing about social media is that it's an easy and fast way to spread this information.
