Is an emailed work contract legally binding?

I was emailed my work contract before the postal one...I accepted the job based on this.
I didn't notice at the time but the postal one, which I signed, had a word added (it has a major impact on a bonus issue), anyone know which one is 'more' legal

I suspect the one that you signed, but to be honest, you are into contract law, so you should contact a solicitor.
