Always knew there was something creepy about Galway. Like the place is haunted or something like that...

Alternatively this could just be a tornado instead of RTE's narrative.
'Black cloud' damages buildings and uproots trees in east Galway

Oh yeah you've no idea. It's a very gothic (in the non-overweight-powder-faced sense) place once you scratch the surface. Weird how party towns tend to be like that, like New Orleans.

Yeah ' just' a tornado out seems. Must have been reasonably large to cause that much damage.

    Glazers Out!

Nope, we all studiously avoid the topic. I think there was a thread about a hotel in Salthill whose owner's car got paved over because he refused to sell to developers next door, doesn't sound very spooky but it is. And of course we get the odd body turned up in a fishmonger's freezer ten years later, torsos dug out of gardens, that sort of thing.

But don't worry, Galway is PERFECTLY NORMAL.

I lived around the corner from that particular fishmongers. Only heard the story the week before I moved out. Never been so terrified in my life for that week!

Believe it or not I actually lived right behind that fishmongers for a few months and could see the side entrance to the freezer area from my bedroom window :D Didn't bother me a bit though bar the smell of fish anytime I walked past it. Oh Henry Street how I miss you :(

*in before some smell of fish joke :P
