    Hi,

I am hearing that there is an eircom nationwide outage? Anyone any news on this. Is it affecting wholesale lines too (Resold eircom lines)

Have an imagine line down in Blanchardstown but can see many of my other lines from different providers are still working.

Just been told by them on twitter that there is a nationwide outage. I think that many of the sky broadband lines are on old BT unbundled lines.

They have not said the extend of the outage though so may not be everyone but widely spread.

Tweet just sent out by @eircom

"There is an outage at the moment on fixed Broadband services across the country. We are working on this and hope to have fixed soon. Tracey"

Will be difficult night for them. Especially if it is weather related and some critical hardware is damaged.

The outage is only effecting certain exchanges connected to a certain BRAS, there is a few BRAS's out most of them in Dublin.

Everyone affected are experiencing solid dsl and red internet lights.

Cheers allen175, good to have the info. The communication from eircom directly is shocking. Their twitter team seem to have gone home.
