There are so many sites and places for the above - before we had the internet you just took pot luck!!

Invitations - don't want to diy, don't want to order online. Bride wants to sit down and look at physical invites, pick and order.

Flowers - Sooo expensive. Has been suggested to go to our local florists as they are usually just as good as 'wedding florists'

Cake - doesn't want to spend a fortune on something that will never be seen again (except in the odd pic) and may not even be eaten. Would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Suggestions on a 10 euro note please! :P

Cakes can be hired out now from cake shops so they are only pretend ones!! very handy if ur not into cake... in my opinion I love Cake and I loved my wedding Cake but i dont think any of the guests will miss it if there isnt one...

Also on flowers, there are some great inexpensive packages out there. my florist in Roscommon was so cheap and did such a good job... Check them out on Facebook Enchanted Floral Design.. they work all over ireland..

Invites - i made my own but was a pain in back side really. so your going down the right route there. maybe u liked one u got previously from another couple you could order a similar style diff colour from same supplier...

10 euro doesnt go far with weddings im afraid :)

Invites, have you been to wedding fairs? Or have you googled people who make invites near you? There are many people out there who make them who you can sit down with and go through them.

Flowers, tbh I don't know what you mean by wedding florists, almost all local florists do weddings as well as all other type of floral gifts/occasions. The less flowers you get the cheaper it will be, so that decides how much you spend really.

Cake, if you don't care about the cake then don't get it and spend the money elsewhere, simples. If you want it just for the photo then don't bother, for people who like cake it's fine to spend whatever they want on it, but if you have no interest in it I can't see why you would bother spending on it. So either don't have one, or go to M&S and get one if you "want it for the photos". Which IMO is a pretty poor reason to go to the bother, why would you order any food product if it won't even get eaten

Loads of printing places do invites, or wedding fairs, or even look in the ads in the irish wedding magazines.

Flowers, you can spend as much or a little as you want. I did my own with my gran's help. We got the flowers from my garden, my mums garden and my grans garden that morning. You can spend as much or as little as you like with a florist. Tell them you are on a budget and ask what is in season. If you are not particular about wanting some flower that has to be imported especially, you can do it very reasonably.

Cake, some places let you use it as dessert. Then it gets eaten for sure. :)

A lot of places charge for this, as they have to cut and serve the cake and basically they'd prefer if you ordered dessert from them, so just watch that if doing it. Also most weddings cakes aren't designed to be served in a big dessert portion with cream etc, so you would need a bigger cake if doing that.

Make your own cake. Ours was rice crispies and marshmallows. Cost less than 50 euro and every bit was eaten.
