Team player. I'm fair, will always aim to please the majority and love taking part rather than winning.

would gravitate toward lone wolf but maybe I just haven't met the right "team" yet. Did I get the job?

Hey look, if you can't come home drunk and hijack a thread that poor ol Cathal came up with at half 3 in the morning on your birthday, then it's not a real birthday

I'm not actually testing anyone tbh. I'm trying to figure out which one I am. I like to think I'm a Team Player but when I think about it maybe thinking I'm a team player is just me being a Lone Wolf!?

ok, but how about you're a lone wolf and that's how you work as part of a team? That would be my ideal scenario anyway. btw I have an interview in a couple of days so I'll probably have to deal with this stupid redundant question myself.

that's almost as profound as e=mc2

I'm a team player who needs his own specific tasks to be completed. I share the load of some work, but would rather do a lot of heavy lifting myself because others are not fast enough for me.

I'm (technically anyway) old enough to be your father. You're a baby - now here, have a birthday cuddle - I know you love them really:D

Also - lone wolf for sure. I don't mind small groups too much, 3,4,5 that kind of size but the thoughts of going anywhere or doing anything with 10 others just does not appeal to me at all. I hear people say we're going on holidays, it'll be great there's 22 of us and I just think great? it'll be fúcking torture, you'd have to put a gun to my head to get me going there!

In real life I am a team player. Usually.

    Not a team, but a triumvirate... a troika. :)

I'm both but it depends on the situation. There are times when you should/need to be a team player or lone wolf.

Not being a team player are you Mr Pants?

    Well now it's a moot question Mr.Rock.

Not one person here is exclusively one or the other.

Anyone who posts on this website are in fact contributing as team. They may be a "lone wolf" behind their keyboard but as soon as they hit the "post" button they are contributing to a collective and as a member of the online community...hence being a "team player".

Of course the question states "had to be". So to be a true "lone wolf", you would need to live totally self sufficiently, live in isolation and more than likely be independently wealthy.

Well that sounds ****, so in answer to your question.....ram it ;)

I'm most definitely a lone wolf but definitely not a loner (although I really like my own company). I like the company of others but I really despise team work, team sports (I like cycling, walking and jogging), doing anything as a team (except hanging out with chums). I specialised in the one subject on my course that required no team work at uni. I've worked as a librarian (very solitary job) and my current job is teaching so I've no boss standing over me working and I don't have any work colleagues as such (just fellow teachers I bump into now and then). I travelled alone for 11 months (but met people on the way, obviously) and have taken a few holidays/trips since alone as I prefer to be the one to decide where I go when I go to a place I've always wanted to go to (otherwise I'm not fussed).

    You get the idea.

No idea why I'm that way as I come from a large-by-modern-standards family.

Yeah, similar to last poster, I enjoy holidays alone as I can do things that I want to do without someone else's input as to where to go, what to do etc.

I play an individualistic sport, train for it by running/gym alone and I'm secretive about techniques regarding it.:D

I've a few friends, but wouldn't be that close to them at all.

Lone Wolf, happy in my own little world, when I start talking to myself then I'll know its time to get out there and be a team player, I think Iam one of those people that think if I haven't done it myself then it isn't done right at all, but then if I mess things up I've no one else to blame

lone wolf in a two man pack.

when i was a teenager i'd sooner read a book than go to the pub like the other lads, so i didn't properly socialise until i was in college. I then made some very close relationships, including getting engaged at 22. If I didn't have work and college commitments, I could happily go for around a month only speaking to one other person.

I am pretty sure my friends feel this way since I often get the 'martyred' vibe off them :(. I imagine though that most people who post often on internet forums are more 'lone wolf' than the alternative.

Check to all the bits in bold. In college, whenever we had group work, I always tried to get into the team with the people guaranteed not to show up for the work so I could do it all by myself and not have to worry about working together. I like hanging out with people (friends) occasionally but I am at my happiest by myself and if I need to relax, I definitely have to be alone. I am a sociable introvert.
