    are they any good to pull a trailer
    i need something for towing 8x4 trailer loaded with firewood

    1.3 or 1.7 the 1.7 would be a lot better.

    Edit just looked it up they both have a max towing capacity of 1000kg. The 1.7 would still be better the 1.3 would struggle with 1000kg I'd imagine.

    i'm thinking of a 1.7 turbo 2004, they seem to be good value easy on fuel. I know the older ones had an izuzu engine but not sure about the 2004 model

    I couldn't see the 1.7 having any problem pulling a trailer within reason. That Isuzu engine is consider excellent in terms of reliability so your making the right choice I'd say.

    ok. i think combo is the the way to go. is there much difference in the cdti, di and dti models

    di and dti are both turbocharged units but the dti has an intercooler and a wee bit more power.The cdti id the commonrail unit while extremely frugle on diesel its not the most reliable unit in the world.Me personally,id go for a 1.7
