Good films to watch when you're sick.

I'd like to watch a film

I like disaster films when I'm upset - the more explosions and running around the better.

Mysteries/Thrillers are good when I'm trying to avoid working out real puzzles.

Film noir is great on a rainy weekend.

Subtitled films make me feel clever when I can match dialogue to reading.

But now I have the 'flu. (Proper 'flu too :( ) and I'm stuck. I was thinking a comedy might be a good idea, something warm and easy, like a cosy blanket.

    Any recommendations AH?

    [I never, ever, like rom-coms.]

Try Wes Anderson. His newest film is wonderful actually, you might not have seen it. Moonrise Kingdom.

    Anything by Pixar

I'm not joking, when you're sick as a dog, nothing like little animated fish and houses floating on balloons to take your mind off it

Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh, Blood Cannibal Holocaust and Salo: 120 Days of Sodom are all fairly sick films if that's what your looking for.

If you want "sick sick" then look no further than:

Should it not have been "Forward to the Future, Again".

I think the original title was "Going Back to 1955 to Steal Back a Sports Almanac That I Transported to 1955"

I prefer Back to the Future

I don't know about sick, can't remember the last time I was, but I do love a good horror when the wind is howling outside and the rain is thundering down. Throw on the fire and a glass of port and I'm set.

    You don't have flu!
At that stage you don't want moving image, reading books is difficult about all you can do is listen to the radio.
