How does the holiday system work for those signing on?

    Tried to ask similar questions previously but the thread was closed with no explanation and the mod ignored every PM I sent asking about it :rolleyes:

    Do you still receive payments for the holidayed time or is it merely an option which allows you to 'miss' payments/sign on dates without being kicked off the dole?

    I know you apply online but what then? Do you have to sign in and out when you leave and arrive back in the country?

    Wow. Holiday?! You're on the dole and you're worried about how you go about claiming the payment while you're away spending your previous payments!

    You're on the dole, ffs! If you are honestly trying to find work, you don't know when you'll get the new job so, you should be conserving any free money you get from me and my fellow tax payers.

    Enjoy the sun. I won't enjoy working, paying taxes and worrying about how I'll fund a holiday in about 5 years.

    yes, and you will not get paid until after you sign on when you come back
