Hi there I was wondering if any one you might be able to shed some light on an issue I've found with a recently bought 2nd hand car.

    Its a 06 Audi A3 3 door.

There car runs great and I have no other issues however at certain times when I am driving along (not neither accelerating or decelerating) at the specific speed range of around 95-105 kmph I feel a very noticeable vibration or shake with the car.

Now if I drop below or above this speed range the vibration disappears. Also there is no vibration or shake whatsoever at motorway speeds. What gear Im in has no impact on the vibration, only the speed.

Ive removed the wheels couldn't see anything glaringly obvious (not that Id know what to look for) and ensured all the nuts were properly tightened but to no avail.

    Any thoughts?

Was about to post this myself, but should it not still happen at the higher speeds, my experience anyway

Usually, but you wouldn't know. Harmonics, and what-'ave-yer.

yup, every object has a natural frequency so the vibration of a slightly off balance wheel might cause the vibration at that rpm.

Had this also, had to change my tyres. Once that was done the Vibrations went away. My tyres was in a bad state and needed changing for a long time. I only got the Vibrations when traveling at around 120km/ph or more.

bring it to a quickfit type garage and ask them to check the tyres, balancing and tracking.

Around 100kph is usually the spot for badly balanced wheels.
Faster or slower it usually goes away.
