O Sheas Skoda Assembly Plant 1963/1964

I know this is a long shot but my Dad is looking to make contact with anyone who worked in O'Shea's Skoda Assembly Plant in Woodville, Rochestown in 1963/1964. I know that technically it's the county but I think the Cork City forum might be better for this. I would be very grateful for any help.

Hello,
I'm trying to find out any information for my bachelor's thesis on the assembly of Skoda cars in Ireland. Do you have any information on when Skoda cars were assembled in Ireland? Alternatively any details on assembly, anything, I would be very grateful! There's hardly anything on this in the Czech Republic.

That is fascinating , I never knew that Skoda cars were once assembled in Cork. You could try contacting Cork City Libraries or Cork County Libraries. The Irish Newspaper Archive is also a very good source (you'll have to pay for access).

My Dad assembled Opels in the late 60s briefly for o Shea's. Approx 1968. Didn't know it was Rochestown though, thought it was somewhere closer to the docks.
