the dust has barely settled from NOC and we're already at another go-home show, it's very hard for people to get excited about PPVs when they're so close together and have no time to further develop storylines.

Someone on the Observer board who is fairly well connected with the PWS crew (for example he broke the news that PWS have signed a deal with New Japan to bring talent over to America) that this is "legit" in that Cody did ask for time off and he is without a contract. Also it would be a bit silly for a local indy to falsely advertise Cody's name and sell tickets for an appearance.

Its just a nice touch to the Rhodes vs. WWE story line. Blurring the lines between kayfabe and reality. Someone in creative real put though into Cody's break story line when they could have gone with an injury

That was excellent by all parties. From Cole's mic being cut off and Heyman and Ryback not going after him. I thought he was legitimately injured until Heyman was at the ropes.

As far as Raw's go, at least it made sense and achieved it's goal, mainly to get the PPV set up.

Wasn't anything amazing, but wasn't anything bad. It just was, but if that's the worst I can say, probably wasn't too bad. :P

I haven't seen Raw yet but from what I've read and heard it wasn't really a car crash show. More solid but unspectacular angles building to a PPV no one has much interest in.

Big Shows facial expressions really are pure gold. When he turned and looked at Stephanie when she said 'Mortgage repayments' had me in stitches

The Rhodes angle was well done, and that's the match I'm looking forward to most on Sunday. Glad it's only a tag-team and Dusty won't wrestle.

Los Matadores were very entertaining, great gimmick. Shame they didn't keep the music they had on their promo. The Bull is class, at least Rey Mysterio has something to do now without having to take a bump!

Final segment I wasn't so high on. Did they really need to get Brie Bella involved in this? Brie isn't going to win an emmy for that performance, shouting 'stop stop' AFTER Orton already gave the RKO on the table. But she's a 10 out of 10 so I'll forgive her

Decent show, really enjoyed it.

Its an awful pity the Rhodes feud is been wasted on one of the least significant PPV's in the calendar... I hope the they stretch it out until the next one.

I could imagine Dusty juiced to bits in the Cell IF there wasn't a strict policy in place. Would be awesome.

I also think Goldust wearing the paint in this angle is a bit stupid. Would add to realism if he was just Dustin Rhodes/Runnels. Looked silly when he was painted up last week too when jumping the rail.

I know the chances of it happening are pretty slim, but I'd love if HHH gave Cody a massive win over himself. :P

Anyway, I'd be surprised if Goldust doesn't turn on Cody or something...

RAW was good. Not great nowhere near a car crash.

El Torito is fantástico - Ole!


Set up Battleground well. Punk v Ryback, the WWE title match, Rhodes v Shield all built way even if they did all used attacks of some sort. The ending gave Randy a big boost after losing their last match and it showed he can lay a beatdown on Bryan.

So what did you all think of the ending? I thought it was well done and continued the excellent heel booking of HHH, McMahons and Orton getting them heat, where they come across as totally unlikable and in a way you wouldn't even cheer them through respect like often happens with older fans.

The whole booking uses what people think these people are really like. Orton being a complete prick towards a woman, massive ego is the perception people have. They are booking HHH and the rest in the way we perceive them behind the camera and is exactly what they did with McMahon for years.

The Rhodes angle v the McMahons was also built well using the above.

I'm not sure any of the total diva's cast are heels anymore since they are feuding with the non total diva's who are all heels.
