I won't be running them this year but it's always a well organised and a fun series of events. And affordable, too.

It's in the Demesne of the National Park. Not 100% sure about which course they are using this year, but I expect it to be the out-and-back one which has pretty much replaced the old route for all 5ks in Killarney:

The start is at the bottom of that little hill, and the route starts with an uphill. On the plus side, after 200 meters of running you have already done most of the climbing, the rest is very flat. And since it's an out-and-back course the finish is downhill.

You sign up in the Old Monastery, the building beside the cathedral on Port Road. Parking is available in the car park if you're early, on the street, or a side road if it's very busy (unlikely).

There will be plenty of runners around, you can't possibly miss it if you just follow the crowd.

Yeah really good event. Finished 4th in 16:5x really enjoyed the course but seems as though they are running it the opposite direction to what TB posted here? The hill was up to the finish!

Apologies for that, they are using a different course (the "old" one) than the one I expected. On the plus side, I tend to get really good readings of my true maximum HR on that final hill :D

    Savage time, respect!
