Just wanted to post here to say that after 4 and a half years of being away from the workplace , studying for a year and a bit, going to countless interviews and being rejected many tines..I finally got the Yes from a company on friday and I am making my return tonorrow morning.

cannot ****ing wait!

PS , It's an IT helpdesk job with a major global company whos clients include the government

OP.Well, within reason, it's better to take any sort of a job than to stay on the Dole.

The start money doesn't matter. It's a foot in the door & if you fit the bill with this crowd the wages can go up very quickly.

It's mental tough to get a job. I am on the dole too and all there seems to be out there is part-time positions offered were hundreds of people apply. It's insane.

Have an interview on Tuesday after losing my job in 2008, then college since 2009 so basically broke since 08!

If i dont get it then my brother and I are out on the streets (rent increase we cant afford) so i'm ****ting bricks over it!

Congrats good feeling, there is a fair amount of jobs out there at the moment. I started a new one last week too, went to 4 interviews in 3 days and managed to get a offer back from each.. funny having to make a choice (Best hours was the deciding factor)

Congrats. OP , I started a new full time job last Monday , new people to look at and talk to , I even have my swipe card and email address and new toilets to have dumps in.

I shall raise a glass to you over the few days .
