Why has AH turned into who's opinions right.. There is very little discussion now about the post pro's/con's it's just 2 sides trying to make there argument be the only sane opinion. You disagree therefore you have no idea what you are talking about .. and “links facts please” to shoot down an opinion. We all know or should know that AH is supposed to light hearted not to be taken to seriously. Yet you see people getting band for trolling when most of the time they are not its just a different opinion or someone reporting as there easily offended. Different opinions are not trolling and easily offended people don't constitute trolling.

I'm reading AH since 2005 - it was probably worse back then.
No, different opinions is not trolling; trolling is trolling. It's usually not the opinion by itself, it's the way it's expressed - that's what gets it referred to as trolling. This thing about "Just because I have a different opinion you're calling me a troll" is a fallacy. It's very very rare that a person with a well-written, thoughtful contrarian/unpopular opinion gets accused of being a troll, because of the way they have written.

This is the problem with the Internet if someone disagreed with you face to face you would not scream Troll at them would you ? as it does not happen. It's to easy to report and say Troll when it's clearly not the case. Yes we can all see the blatant ones that's a given. We need to read things in context and not put our own spin mood on it when reading it. Your spin on the comment may not be what the commenter was trying to point out. You may put to much negative context on a word if it offended you and such.

No, because they're only disagreeing with me, not on a wind-up. And the same online - it's rare people are called trolls for simply disagreeing; there's always more to it than that. And people can "troll" in real life - by going on a wind-up spree. It just happens far less in real life than online.
