Horizon remote

Had few guests yesterday now I cant find the horizon remote anywhere. Dont know where its misplaced with kids running around.

What are my options? Where can I get a remote like that?

You'll probably have to get a replacement from UPC, will cost you.

I have a Harmony universal remote which supports some functionality (it's infra-red, and the Horizon box only seems to support some commands via IR), but it's good enough to turn the box on & off, change channels, navigate the menus etc.

I still cant find it, I guess I will have to contact UPC. At the moment doing away with touch buttons on the box, atleast I can change the channels but nothing much

There are a few free universal remote apps knocking about (on android anyways) that can be paired with the horizon box, if that helps till you get a new remote.

Do you have an iphone or iPad? If so there is now a horizon remote app which turns ur iphone or pad into a remote

Which ones? I haven't been able to get any apps over wifi to work from android.


I know some apps that use an IR emitter on the phone but most phones and practically all tablets do not have an IR emitter.

Just check and the tablet i have those apps on has an IR transmitter.
