    Hey guys,
I live out in the countryside not far from roscommon town and I'm just wondering if imagine Wimax is any good? My contract is just ending with three and I want to switch because it's too costly at 35 euro a month for a 3G router. WiMax on the other hand is only 19 euro a month. Is it any good? Any problems? Is it fast enough for a bitta streaming? Or do you think I should get eircom fibre instead as it's recently came into my area?

Its €150 to connect unless you want the indoor antenna.
The likes of vodafone at €27 woud work out cheaper when you take connection into account,
If 20gb is enough of course

Do you know if the indoor antenna is any good? Yeah Vodafone does sound better, ya can add 150gb for like 6 quid too which would do the job

You should go with Vodafone if you can get decent speeds off them, have you a landline installed?

Nope I don't have a landlines, got rid of it a year ago

As in you physically removed it from the house

If the line and socket is still there that's what matters.

Oh no we just got rid of the home phone , the socket is still there

They can re-activate the line for you, if you ring Vodafone they can tell you what speeds your line would be capable of.

    Oh right well thank you
Do you know if you have to pay for line rental on top of the broadband package?

Nope, it's included. No idea what speeds you'll get though but its worth calling them.

If you have any neighbours living next to you and if you know their phone number, you can put their number in the Sky Broadband line checker and it'll tell you the speed. If they are living next to you, you'll get the same speed.

It might ask "Why did you break into your neighbour's house just to check their internet speed?"
