Have a Northern Ireland reg tractor that I never bothered to register here. Thing is if I go and get it registered now will the Tax be due on it from the date I bought it (nearly 8 years ago ) or will it just be due from the day its registered here.
OR could i just carry on using it as is and not bother registering it as its never next to near a road ??

I registered a tractor 2 years ago that I had bought (imported) 13 years previous and I only had to pay the current tax - no back tax.

If it's roadworthy it might be better to declare it off-road now. (join the queue on Monday - bring sandwiches :pac:)

Finally, anybody who owns a vehicle that they do not plan to put on the road again need take no action on foot of this legislation.

Cripes! that's unreal. He had to wait till the very last weekend before clarifying all this.

And he's in charge of a lot of things - time for Enda's re-shuffle methinks
