    Hi all,

I have toshiba laptop (just over a year old) that will not boot into factory settings image. I says "the setup is updating registery settings". I tried installing windows ultimate and same problem. I then installed Ubuntu 12.04. It installed but when I shut it down, it rebooted on its own (needs a hard shutdown). I did google the problem and it says it could be a mother board problem.

    Anyone come across this problem?

No, Windows 7 Home (Celeron) When I plug in the power, it does not shut down, it reboots. When it runs on battery, it powers down fine. I googled that and it said that it was a capacitor problem.
