    Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. But I only found one for smoking and non-drinkers.

I have a genuine theorestical question about Columbian Marching Powder, Snoot Toot, The Devils Dandruff, Nose Candy, Peruvian Quaker Oats.

How easy it is to get in Ireland ?
    What does it cost ?
What is the quality like ?
What happens if you get caught with it ?
What sort of characters do you have to deal with ?
Presumably you can get in in Dublin. What about rural Ireland ?

Am I allowed to ask these questions ?

It's around. It's expensive. It's poor quality (for the most part). What happens if you get caught depends on how much you have and the mood of the Garda at the time. The type of characters you deal with depends on who you know.

The same as most drugs in Ireland.

You would be better of getting yourself a lump of turf and shmoking that.

Although just don't go cutting it or the Turf Squad will arrest you.

OK, UK, £50 for a G. Quality is dependent. In London there is somebody in practically every pub frequented by young people. Police really dont seem to be bothered. Would not be particularly scared to be pulled up and be in possession. If I went to rural UK, I would not think it would be that easy to find.

The columbian marching powder is scarce, you might get some in Brooks Thomas or you could try Milletts. The Snoot toots are easy to get - Mollies Sweeties on fifth have boxes of the strawberry ones. The Devils Dandruff is called Icing sugar here in ireland, but it is indeed evil, and fattening. The Nose Candys common as muck and crops up a lot in Randoms - around a euro a pack IIRC. Most quaker oats are english, but Tesco stock them and they're cheap. If you insist on the peruvian ones, you'll need a specialist food store. Hope this helps and no bother atall. Cheers.

    Very easy.
Depends on how much you want to buy.
    Crap.
Caught by who, your parents or the Gardaí?
    Drug dealers.
    Yes.

There you go, all questions answered.

Mrs. Doyle: There's always time for a nice cup of tea. Sure, didn't the Lord himself pause for a nice cup of tea before giving himself up for the world.
Father Ted Crilly: No, he didn't, Mrs Doyle!
Mrs. Doyle: Well, whatever the equivalent they had for tea in those days, cake or something. And speaking of cake, I have cake!
    [She holds up a cupcake]
Father Ted Crilly: No, thanks, Mrs. Doyle.
Mrs. Doyle: Are you sure, Father? There's cocaine in it!
    Father Ted Crilly: WHAT?
Mrs. Doyle: Oh, no, not cocaine. God, what am I on about? No, what d'you call them. Raisins.

at street level, buying off people you dont know, possibly.

If youre into your coke, you make an effort to get good qaulity. In turn the people that sell good stuff, make good money. They could mix the sh1t to hell and back and sell it to numpties like the OP or make a choice not to,they shift less weight and dont make as much money per ounze. But they would have a high turnover because of the quality.

Hi, is this really a bad thing to actually be asking ?

I realise it is a potentially controversial question. But 7 percent of the Irish public has admitted in a survey to have used a substance, which is about 1 in 13, which probably means somebody you know, which equates to maybe 300,000 people ?

    And on a board with 600,000 members, I can't get a straight answer ?

People in Ireland are no different from anywhere else. As well as working 9 to 5, attending Church, mowing the lawn, there are those that take drugs, wife swap, have gay sex, get pierced in funny places, they do stuff that is not generally approved by polite society, stuff that is illegal, immoral, frowned upon, countercultural. Stuff that folk might not want granny or the neighbours knowing about.

When I was a kid and came to Ireland on my holidays, whereas the British music papers like NME and Melody Maker were simply music magazines, Hot Press was more than a music magazine, it was an absolute lifeline for kids who were different, maybe isolated, or in an environment, or with feelings, or issues that they could simply not discuss with others.

Now we have Boards.ie, where the anonymity of the internet allows frank exchange of information you might not want to ask your granny. So there is me thinking, thats where I can find the answer to questions I cant be asking me granny.

As I said, I am in the UK. If somebody were to ask me, I would tell them that in my local, there are at least 3 guys to speak to, but one particular guy will sell you 1 Gram of top quality, for £50 and he has a reputation you can trust. The other two guys are OK, but they charge more and I would not trust what you are getting. If you were determined, you could walk into numerous local bars and probably find a guy in every single one of them, although you might pay £60 for 1 Gram but it probably won't be any good. If you went rural, I doubt I you could find it very easily. You would really need to know somebody. If you happened to come into contact with the Police for whatever reason, and were found to have a certain amount on your person, for personal use, it is not something you really would be too concerned about. You would probably get a slap on the wrist or it would end up down the toilet.

I appreciate that the question invites vague answers for obvious reasons, but can anyone give me a serious answer ?

And it it really a bad question to be asking ? And if it is, why ?

That is an outrageous generalisation to make, I never mow the lawn.

No such thing as anonymity on the internet OP, and of course it's not a bad question to be asking. It's a stupid question to be asking seeing as you're in the UK and it won't affect your life one way or the other, but since you're interested in frank discussion about drugs, and you're based in the UK, have you considered talking to frank?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,802 ✭✭✭✭suicide_circus

A g will run you between 60 - 120 beans. The quality will vary wildly.
Its a pretty crap drug unless you get top quality . Only advantage to it is you could do it in work and get away with it.
There are far better drugs out there for far less money.

It's been ages since I've heard much about coke so I reckon it isn't as popular as it used to be.

Last I heard, it was about €70 per gram.

God knows what the quality would be like. ****e probably.
