Detailer in North Dublin

Any recommendations for someone to do some work on detailing a car on the northside?

Not my own, but a family member has some surface scratches that they would like taken care of. I read about Detailing Shed in Swords before but when I check their website I see no mention of them doing detailing anymore... just selling the products.

    Any ideas?

Detailing shed are the only ones in north dublin.
There is also spirit detailing in leixlip.

I was talking to curran (detailing shed owner) 2 weeks ago and they still detailing cars and not just selling detailing stuff.
I don't think I've ever seen reference to them detailing online.
I'd pm him and see what he suggests.

    On their feckin site.
Between the me you and vectra we should get discounts for a recommendations.

Fair play to curran, and the other car cleaners :P who post here but don't reply to threads asking for the name of a good detailer/valeter in such a place! It's hard to turn down work in these times but fair play.

They're not allowed due to boards.ie rules. It's called shilling ;)

See, companies that want to advertise here pay for what's called a verified account. Only then can you talk about and publicize your business here.

Curran has never once mentioned that he owns DetailingShed, it's always been other people.

I've been around here long enough to know all about shilling.
At the same time credit where credits due for not doing it. You see it a bit in other forums on here.
His customer service is top notch as well.

Anyway dord sorry for going OT.

Only after the companies name has been mentioned, and they have a verified account, then the owner of the business is allowed to make themselves known in that thread....but not until then!

No...at a push we might take on stone chip repair if the paint is sourced by the customer and that they understand that any matching issues are down to them.
Its a sticky subject taking on work that involves even minor paint work so we try avoid it if possible.

    Hi,
Have a 09 Golf metallic black. Would Detailing Shed be able to remove tree sap and restore paint job?

I don't think Detailing shed are doing any detailing work at present.

You could try Biran at spirit detailing.

Would you not have a go yourself?

You could pick up stuff out of motor factors or somewhere like detailing shed.ie

I have Auto Glym tar remover and used for getting the green spots and sap off.

There is loads of different types to choose from.
